Through the Thicket
Botanic Gardens Mt Tomah, 2025
“My approach to photography is to first find interesting or unusual light and compose my shot around it. This gentle spotlight fell on a patch of flowers, illuminating a quiet understory moment deep within the garden. Through The Thicket draws attention to the small, beautiful details we might miss on a walk through the woods; a reminder of how light can transform even the most ordinary parts of nature into something quietly magical. Let this image invite you into a world where time slows, and where nature reveals itself not in grand vistas, but in soft, glowing fragments. It is a meditation on stillness, presence, and the poetry of the overlooked.”
