The combination of the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge with the energy of the drone show triggered in my mind a futuristic image, bringing together over 100 years of history from the building of the bridge, through the Opera House and futuristic drone show. I wanted to add the feeling of explosive energy that I felt watching that night into this image creating this kaleidoscopic image exploding out from the centre of the Opera House. An image of time and motion."

Artist - Kevin Brady
Kevin Brady is a Sydney based photographer with a passion for Landscape, Seascape and Cityscape photography and more recently has delved into more creative works.
Kevin has always enjoyed the outdoors and draws inspiration from Sydney’s iconic natural coastline using long exposures to explore the interplay of light and movement. Kevin’s imagery is often punctuated with lively vibrant colours, strong composition and frequent use of lines to create layers and movement in images.
Kevin’s journey into photography began in the bygone era of black and white film photography before transitioning as a late arrival to digital photography. As life became busier with the distractions of living, photography was relegated behind family, a corporate career and other passions. Then came Covid and time and space were created to re-ignite the photographic spark. Photography can be a very mindful activity and putting a camera between yourself and the environment can connect you in a meaningful way to it – essentially like a third eye. Kevin’s images capture the simplicity of the lived environment with a creative twist of light, colour, and layers.
