Growing up quite literally in the lap of nature among the lush hills of India's Western Ghats, Saumya developed a deep and lasting bond with the outdoors. Driven by a childlike curiosity, from the smallest plants and tiniest insects to towering trees and elusive mammals, he has always chosen to see the world through a child's lens. The secret, as he likes to call it, is to show nature simply as it is felt: the grand scale of it, the hidden worlds within, and the imagination it inspires. When he’s not at his desk as a graphic designer, you’ll find him hiking the remote corners of the world, photographing and illustrating them.
