Fran Gass

Photographer who exhibited with us at M2 Gallery in Surry Hills - hosted by Three Edge Framing and Gallery

Australian nature and wildlife photographer, Fran Gass, lives in Ballarat, Victoria. Following her retirement as an educator, Fran is now thoroughly committed to pursuing her life long passion for photography.  With her camera, she explores the natural environment in unique and different ways.  Fran especially enjoys experimenting using the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) genre sometimes in her in camera multiple exposure imagery which often results in unique and abstract images.  

Participation  in photographic tours and workshops, along with visiting photographic exhibitions, all help inform her work.  

Fran exhibited in the Three Edge Framing and Gallery group exhibitions ’twenty five in the LANDSCAPE’, ’SPLASH,’ and ‘KALEIDOSCOPE,’  at the M2 Gallery, Surry Hills, Sydney in 2024 and 2025.  Travelling to the Arctic Region with another photographer on a photography tour resulted in the sharing of a fringe program exhibition in the 2017 Ballarat International Foto Biennale.  Fran was a runner up in the Snap Happy The Photography Show television program competition in 2023.
