Andrew Foster

Andrew Foster is a Newcastle-based photographer whose images are shaped by movement, atmosphere and a deep engagement with the natural world. Working across seascape, landscape and astrophotography, he is particularly drawn to the shifting space between land and sea, where light, weather and scale create moments of tension and calm. Often shooting handheld and with long exposure at sunrise, sunset and beneath night skies, Foster creates work that feels elemental, fluid and immersive. His photography is both a creative practice and a way of resetting and reconnecting, grounded in the restorative qualities of nature. Presented as part of Into the Wild, his work invites viewers into a quieter, more reflective experience of place.
